Tax-Free Child Care

We accept all childcare vouchers at Busy Bees so it is worth asking your employer if they offer this scheme as it can save you money towards the cost of your childcare. If not you can still apply for tax-free childcare through the Government where you can get up to £500 every three months. Just follow this link to find out more:

2 & 3 Year Funding

Some 2-year-olds are eligible for free Early Years Education, up to 570 hours per year. To find out more and check your eligibility visit this website:

https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-2-year-olds

All 3 and 4-year-olds are eligible for up to 570 hours per year of free Early Years Education irrespective of background, post code or financial circumstances. To access this at Busy Bees you do not need to do anything other than consent that you are happy for us to claim it. There are two ways to claim, either 15 hours per week term time only for 38 weeks of the year (please note we do not offer term time only contracts therefore, you will receive an invoice during the holidays) or stretch it over 50 weeks of the year, using 11.4 each week.

Some 3 and 4-year-olds may be eligible for 30 hours per week of Early Years Funding, 1140 hours per year, but this does depend on postcode and financial circumstances.

For more information for those with English postcodes please follow this link:

https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-and-education-for-2-to-4-year-olds

For those with Welsh postcodes please follow this link:

https://gov.wales/childcare-3-and-4-year-olds

Please note when looking at Welsh funding options, as Busy Bees is in England you must ignore the information about Early Education in Wales and look at the information about Childcare only. You can claim up to 20 hours of childcare from Wales, and we can claim up to 10 hours of education from Herefordshire for your child.

When applying for the additional hours, you must do so the term in which your child turns 3, as eligibility starts the term after their third birthday.

If you require any further information or have any questions please just ask Hayley.
